30 Under 30 Climate Change-Makers

Representing Northern Ireland on the world stage

The 30 Under 30 Northern Ireland Climate Change-Makers programme is designed to unearth, inspire, and equip 30 leaders under the age of 30 who can play an instrumental part in shaping a better climate future for Northern Ireland and beyond. 


Applications for the 2024 30 Under 30 Northern Ireland Climate Change-Makers programme has now closed 


30 Under 30 in Northern Ireland 

The 30 Under 30 Northern Ireland Climate Change Makers programme was launched for the first time in 2022 and draws on the international EE 30 Under 30 initiative introduced by the North American Association for Environmental Education.

The programme is delivered by Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful and Podiem, and funded by Coca-Cola and Ulster Garden Villages.

Support has also been gratefully received from Belfast City Council, Pinsent Masons and Danske Bank.

30 Under 30 Climate Change-Makers

Developing world-class climate leaders

After the success of the workshops in the pilot year of the programme, this year we are offering six new carefully selected workshops to the second cohort from February to June 2024, to ensure they gain the skills, knowledge and confidence of well-rounded climate champions for Northern Ireland. 

The 2024 workshops from industry professionals include the below topics;

  • Workshop 1: Purpose, Why & Impact
  • Workshop 2: Wellbeing, Performance & Teamwork
  • Workshop 3: Purpose Driven Leadership
  • Workshop 4: Biodiversity and Local Business context
  • Workshop 5: Emphasis on individual impact 
  • Workshop 6: Emphasis on group work

We also ensure the cohort get access to accredited Carbon Literacy Training delivered by Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful.
