I recently graduated from Queens University Belfast with an MEng in civil engineering and am currently pursuing my PhD, working alongside an industry partner (Geoman Ltd). My research involves evaluating the performance of temporary working platforms to increase understanding of load transfer mechanics, analytical failure predictions and mechanical stabilisation opportunities. Sustainability is a fundamental factor driving my research, aiming to reduce the quantity of granular material consumed due to the high degree of conservatism in current design recommendations.

As part of the 30 Under 30 programme, I am excited to learn from industry leaders and collaborate with other likeminded individuals, to enhance my knowledge on sustainable topics and promote a brighter future.
